Facelift surgery is a very common procedure, and there are a number of different facelifts that can be performed. Though each facelift procedure varies slightly in treatment, there are some common factors that you can expect to experience before, during, and after your plastic surgery treatment. Before Facelift Surgery In the weeks prior to your facelift surgery, you may be asked to come into the office for blood testing and a physical to ensure that you are fit for surgery. Approximately two weeks before the surgery is set to take place, you will be expected to quit smoking and stop taking any type of blood thinner such as aspirin or ibuprofen which could cause complications during the facelift procedure.
