Combining a Breast Lift with Implants
A breast lift with implants can enhance multiple dimensions of the bust line at once. While a breast lift alone can restore youthful perkiness, implants can enhance size and shape. The Hurwitz Center in Pittsburgh, PA, has been helping patients achieve satisfying and natural-looking results for more than 40 years, and can tailor this procedure to your specific needs and goals. Under our care, you can achieve results that complement your entire figure, helping you to look amazing and feel confident.*

Is a Breast Lift with Implants Right for You?
Age, childbirth, breastfeeding, and fluctuations in weight can all take a toll on the breasts. Over time, the breasts may sag and droop. You may want to consider a breast lift with implants if you want to:
- Increase the size of your breasts
- Address sagging or drooping breasts
- Achieve improved symmetry between the breasts
When you meet with your surgeon during your consultation, he will thoroughly evaluate your breast size and skin elasticity to determine if you are a good candidate for this procedure. He will also discuss your goals and expectations to determine if a combined treatment is the surest way to achieve the results you desire.
If you wish to undergo a breast lift combined with breast augmentation, your surgeon will also explain your implant options. He offers both silicone and saline implants in a variety of different sizes, shapes, and textures.
If you wish to correct sagging breasts, but also envision a bust line that is larger and shapelier, your surgeon can evaluate your candidacy for a breast lift combined with augmentation.
What to Expect during the Procedure
Our surgeons perform all breast procedures in our American Association for the Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities-certified operating room to ensure the highest levels of safety. To maintain your comfort during the procedure, your surgeon will administer anesthesia and sedation. Sometimes you may need to perform the procedure under general anesthesia if necessary.
Next, your surgeon will create an incision in your breast. The size and shape of the incision will depend on the extent of the lift needed to achieve your desired results. Once he has removed excess tissue and repositioned the breast, he will insert the breast implants before closing the incisions with sutures. Depending on your goals, the implant will be placed either above or below the pectoral muscle.
Recovery
In general, a breast lift combined with augmentation requires one to two weeks of downtime, depending on the extent of surgery, where the implant was placed, the rate at which your body heals, and other factors. During this time, it is important to get up and walk periodically in order to avoid blood clots, but you should avoid any strenuous activity. Your surgeon will provide explicit instructions to follow during your recovery, and he will schedule follow-up visits to monitor your progress. All incisions will be placed in a manner that fosters discreet, easily concealed scars that will fade over time.
