Wrinkles and sagging skin can make you feel much older than you actually are. However, many patients do not want to undergo in-depth surgery to achieve facial rejuvenation.
Then our plastic surgeons are likely to perform FaceTit, an increasingly popular alternative to facelift surgery which offers cost-effective results with a shorter recovery time.*
What really makes FaceTite such a great option?
Typically used to target the lower face and neck, FaceTite can improve the appearance of jowls, deep wrinkles, a double chin, and loose skin around the neck.*
FaceTite is generally a good choice for patients who:
- We will combine oral conscious sedation with a local anesthetic to ensure you are numb and comfortable throughout your procedure.
- We will gently deliver radiofrequency energy using a delicate handheld device. This handpiece consists of an receiving disc electrode that sits on top of the skin and an energy emitting cannula which is inserted beneath the skin through a tiny incision.
- We will move the device back and forth across the treatment area to evenly distribute the thermal energy.
- Controlled heat will safely cause contractions through multiple layers of skin, tissues, and deeper fat deposits.
- Over heating of fat and nerves can cause small nodules and temporary facial numbness and/or muscle weakness
While FaceTite can offer many of the same improvements as a traditional facelift, the effects may not last as long. In either case, future signs of aging still occur. FaceTite results typically last over five years.
Immediately following your procedure, you will be provided with a compression garment that can aid in your recovery and protect the treatment area. While you may experience some discomfort, it should be easily managed with over-the-counter medications.
Minimal bruising or numbness can also occur but this should dissipate within a few days. Patients can typically return to regular daily activities within two to ten days of their treatment. However, any strenuous exercise or movements should be avoided until cleared by the doctor.
Your Goals Play a Role in Treatment Price
For most patients, treating signs of aging with FaceTite costs significantly less than a facelift. However, your final treatment cost can vary based on several factors.
Dr. Hurwitz can provide you with a personalized cost estimate during your FaceTite consultation. He can discuss all the factors which affect your final price and help you make an educated decision about your treatment.
