Understanding the Cost of NeoGraft® Treatment
We often see patients who have suffered extensive hair loss and are seeking a minimally invasive restorative treatment. The revolutionary NeoGraft® system automates the follicular unit extraction (FUE) method, allowing for even greater precision and efficiency. FUE extracts healthy follicular units from a donor area, usually at the back of the head, and places them in the treatment area. NeoGraft® uses this simple, safe technique, and further minimizes its chance of complications and side effects. Many patients are interested in this restoration option, but have questions about the cost of NeoGraft® treatment. Our Pittsburgh, PA cosmetic surgery practice has helped countless patients understand the different pricing models and the factors that shape their unique treatment cost. If you are concerned with thinning hair and would like to learn more about the NeoGraft® system, please contact our practice and make an appointment with Dr. Dennis Hurwitz.
The NeoGraft® System
The NeoGraft® system uses specialized technology that automates the FUE treatment method. In addition to improving the technique's precision and efficiency, it allows us to transplant large amounts of hair follicles in a shorter period of time. The NeoGraft® technology gently extracts individual follicular units without pulling or twisting, which can damage the hair. Next, the follicular units will be harvested from the donor site and quickly transplanted into the treatment area.
The NeoGraft® system has shown superior results over other types of hair restoration, like follicular unit transplantation (FUT), and patients are generally very satisfied with their results. The treatment has a reduced recovery period and minimizes the chances of post-operative complications. There are no scalpels, sutures, or scarring, and patients can usually return to work on the same day following their procedures.
Weighing Your Treatment Cost
Hair restoration procedures are typically priced per graft. Since patients suffer from varying degrees of hair loss, it is difficult to determine an individualized treatment cost without first consulting with Dr. Hurwitz. Although NeoGraft® treatment is generally more expensive than other restorative options, it typically requires fewer sessions than traditional FUE or FUT. Hair transplanted with the NeoGraft® system is also typically more resilient than other hair restoration methods, so there are typically fewer maintenance and touch-up treatments needed after the initial procedure. This can lead to cost savings over time and make the total price of NeoGraft® treatment comparable to other restorative methods.
Financing Your Hair Restoration
Because hair restoration is usually considered a cosmetic procedure, insurance plans do not cover NeoGraft® or any other treatment. In an effort to make all of our procedures more affordable and give patients greater flexibility in their payment options, we offer CareCredit℠ financing. This medical credit card can break up your treatment cost, making NeoGraft® treatment affordable on nearly any budget. Our front office staff will be happy to help guide you through the application process.
