Because insurance rarely covers elective cosmetic surgery, the team at Hurwitz Center for Plastic Surgery wants to ensure that the financial aspects of your treatment are taken care of and can be understood clearly. Financing company support is available and can help patients make their treatment possible and affordable.
A lot of people having the understanding that a lot of procedures are covered by insurance whereas most of them are not in our case. I will contact the insurance company and give them all the information that the doctors give to us and try to get any procedures covered that may be medically necessary. For the elective procedures, I will walk patients through the process of doing finance with the different companies that we work with. When you are looking at cost for a procedure for an elective surgery, you are going to see a surgeon’s fee; you are going to see a hospital fee and an anesthesia fee. Those will be broken down individually and given to you at the time of your initial consultation with the doctor. Financing can happen via your own financial situation, credit cards, check, cash. We also have finance companies that we work with and we will guide you through that process of getting financial help. When you get a bill from the hospital, which does occur, you can give me a call and I would be more than happy to get it straightened out. We try to quote exactly what is owed to us and to the hospital at the time of your consultation. If you have any questions or concerns in reference to our office, financial situations, insurance, or patient relations, staff, you can give us a call and I would be more than happy to help you get those answers.
