"You and your wife Linda were so kind to me when I came to you last year; I will never forget your compassion and inspirational example. Meant more to me than the procedure itself. To this day I continue to share the wisdom and perspective you shared with me, including the philosophy of Viktor Frankel in 'Man's Search for Meaning.'

You'll recall we talked about going to international conferences, etc. and dealing with younger people, needing to 'fit it' . . . or at least, as a senior leader in our respective fields, have the 'youngsters' feel like we 'fit it' with their age group (superficial first impressions, but it matters), and therefore 'we are on the same wavelength.' So looks matter, at least first impressions (before you prove your worth in words and deeds).

You gave me back the 10 years I asked for; I am very grateful.
